Technical Animator

Dead Orbit Studios is looking for a Technical Animator to bring our vision to life . This isn't about spectacle   it's about feel. Every interaction, every system response, every piece of feedback the player receives through animation needs to be clear, responsive, and grounded. If you've ever noticed that a game felt wrong before you could explain why, you already understand what this role is about.

What you'll be doingBuilding and implementing first-person animations directly in Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on gameplay clarity and system feedback. You'll work closely with design to ensure animations communicate information as much as they create atmosphere. Cinematic polish is secondary to responsiveness and precision.

What we're looking forA portfolio or reel demonstrating in-engine animation work, solid understanding of first-person animation conventions, and experience working within UE5. Someone who thinks about animation as a functional layer, not just a visual one.
